Code of Ethics

Our Association was the first to create and establish a Code of ethics for medical device manufacturers in Russia.

IMEDA Code of Ethics (2019)

The new IMEDA Code of Business Ethics (Code of Ethics) was adopted at the General Meeting of IMEDA Association Members held on December 10, 2019.

The new Code of Ethics will enter into force on January 1, 2020 with the establishment of a one-year transition period from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020, during which, at the choice of a Member Company of the Association, it has the right either immediately from January 1, 2020 to be guided by the provisions of the attached Code of Ethics, or to postpone the application of the new Code until January 1, 2021 and during the transition period to continue to be guided by the Code of Ethical Conduct when interacting with healthcare Professionals of the Association of International Manufacturers of Medical Devices in 2013 with simultaneous
preparation for the application of the new Code of Ethics from January 1, 2021.

IMEDA Code of Ethics (2013)

In September 2013, IMEDA established a new version of the Code of Ethics. The code is accepted on voluntary basis and establishes high ethical norms for doing business and behavior on the market. The document prescribes demands, which are to be followed by all the member companies of IMEDA while carrying out their business activities in the Russian Federation. Additionally, the document includes the forms of interaction with medical professionals.

New IMEDA Code of Ethical Conduct is harmonized with the Russian legislation, Codes of American and European Associations and APEC recommendations.
